The Opportunity- Land Development Engineer
We are interested in talking with employment candidates who have experience supporting the planning, design, and execution of residential, commercial, and mixed-use civil engineering, land development projects.
Time will be spent balancing engineering, regulations, budgets and client needs, often acting as the technical translator between planners, architects, municipalities, and developers.
Compensation - $95K - $130K + bonus potential

Essential Work Experience and Knowledge
· Land Development Engineering and Design
· Utility Design
· Storm water management and erosion and sediment control design
· Review of subdivision and land development plans
· Site layout and grading
· Roadway design within development area
· Permitting, zoning and working with municipalities
· PaDEP and PennDOT permit application preparation
· Municipal ordinance and planning document preparation
Expectations
· Prepare and review site development plans, including grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion & sediment control
· Design storm water management systems in accordance with local and state regulations; in some cases you will be working alongside another expert engineer who has water and wastewater or other relavent experience
· Coordinate with Surveyors, Planners, Architects, and other team members or consultants.
· Manage permitting and approvals with municipalities and regulatory agencies
· Perform site feasibility studies and due diligence analysis
· Ensure projects meet zoning, land use, and environmental requirements
· Maintain project schedules, budgets and documentation
Education - Development
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Environmental Engineers are of great interest as well.
· PE or EIT
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in land development or civil engineering related field
· Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Excellent communication and coordination skills

Responsibilities: As the Municipal Engineer you will be responsible for representing customers/businesses within the Municipal area.
Utilize and share your knowledge and education to successfully engineer and design projects within the following areas: PADEP permitting, rules and regulations to support client needs and mentor junior level engineers
Water treatment and distribution design
Wastewater treatment and collection design
Stormwater design and review
Paving and road construction
Knowledge of Municipal Planning and Building Codes
Direct engineering activities, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety or other governmental regulations.
Attend municipal meetings; Representation of client to Municipal Authorities
An ability to manage multiple projects and clients
Collaborate with other team members
Ensure deliverables meet project technical objectives
Prepare project reviews and reports; summarize project outcomes and impacts
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be a Professional Engineer (P.E.), or working towards a P.E.
5 or more years' experience within a Municipal Engineering role
Minimum B.S. degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field.
Project Management experience within civil and/or environmental fields
Must be a U.S. Citizen or hold Green Card status.
