The Supply Chain Manager must have a solid understanding and ability to analyze how demand signals are developed, validate data for alignment with plans, identify supply constraints, and manage an executable plan that meets financial and market share goals. Define and review performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement actions to address. Contributes to priority projects by adding creative insights and developing recommendations.
Work with functional areas including sales, production and quality assurance to purchase and keep adequate inventory levels of company supplies and customer supplies; utilize system reports to coordinate with other functional areas; create policies and procedures for logistics activities; recommend purchase of new or improved technology such as automated systems to provide efficiency within supply chain including location of incoming materials, inventory count, materials within the production process, and outgoing materials/products; provide recommendations to management regarding resources needed including people, equipment or systems through data-driven analysis; identify appropriate training. Must work well independently and have an ability to be self-directed as well.
Minimum 5 years’ supervisory experience within a Manufacturing environment; Warehouse Management / Logistics / Inventory Management
Minimum 5 years’ experience working within a regulated/cGMP manufacturing environment
Inventory Management Development for Processes experience; Proven experience in executing and implementing high quality supply chain management practices
Experience working within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software environment
Excellent data and analytical skills to facilitate inventory management and overall supply chain functions
Excellent technical and mechanical knowledge
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Warehouse Logistics and/or equivalent work experience
APICS certification a plus
Oversee and improve all transportation operations of the company. Provide support and guidance to the organization which includes but is not limited to driver dispatching, fleet maintenance, client services and business development.
Manage team of 3-4 drivers and maintain fleet of trucks/vehicles; schedule for best use of trucks/transport time including front haul / back haul transports. Coordinate with customers and staff to schedule/dispatch drivers; maintain company driver records for reporting and referencing; maintain trucking fleet and driver compliance as well as follow DOT regulations; interview and provide hiring recommendations, supervise, train and mentor transportation team staff.
Must have a familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a trucking /transport environment; prior supervisory experience required and preferred within the transport/logistics area. DOT Safety knowledge required. Understanding of International fuel tax, understanding of DOT; transports are typically in Northeast US, MD, DE, NY and CT.
Act as liaison between the facility and corporate operations team; lead business development efforts; develop and execute plans that lead to successful new business contracts
You will be responsible for developing software applications within an iSeries environment utilizing RPG programming skills. You will also provide analysis and support to end users and other team members. Must be able to work well independently as well as within a team/group environment.
